Erika is an accomplished painter, printmaker and photographer. She studied art at the University of Redlands and also at San Francisco State University, where she earned a BA in Industrial Arts. Her work has been juried into art competitions and is held in private collections throughout the US and Europe.
Currently working in Sausalito, California, she remains drawn to the natural world. Specifically interested in bio-diversity, she uses an abstract style of painting as a way to depict the intricacies held in the earth’s rich microcosm. By using pencil, ink, wax crayon, and acrylic paint, she creates large shapes overlaid onto washes of color and intricate marks, inviting the viewer in for a closer look.
